When does the Rotherham Baby Pack go live?
From 6th January 2025, midwives at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust can start registering pregnant women to receive a free baby pack if their baby is due after 7th of April 2025. The earliest we can deliver the packs is the end of March 2025 as this is when the launch of packs begins.
When will I receive my Rotherham Baby Pack?
You will receive your baby pack about 4 weeks before your due date. First deliveries start week commencing 24th March 2025.
Am I eligible for a Rotherham Baby Pack?
To be eligible for the baby pack, the mother must be a Rotherham resident and provide a valid Rotherham address.
Who can register me for the Rotherham Baby Pack?
Only midwives in Rotherham can register mothers for a baby pack. This can be done from 25 weeks of pregnancy onwards.
What is in the Rotherham Baby Pack?
The baby pack contains 26 items including neutral-coloured clothing, a toy, a book, and other useful items for the first six months. It comes in a sturdy storage box that can become a memory box once the baby has outgrown the items. The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust and Rotherham Council have agreed the contents are suitable and safe for this age group.
How many packs can I get?
You will receive one baby pack for each newborn. So, if you have twins you will receive two and so on.

How do I know when my baby pack will be delivered?
You will be called in advance of the delivery to confirm your address, and you will also receive an email with the tracking details.
The package will require a signature on delivery.

My baby pack has arrived but it is missing an item?
What are the opening hours of the call centre?
The customer service centre is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
What should I do if my baby pack doesn’t turn up?
What if I have chosen to give birth in a neighbouring hospital?
All Rotherham residents are assigned a Rotherham Community Midwife, even if you have chosen to give birth in a neighbouring hospital.
If you ask your midwife about the scheme, they will be able to let you know when they can register you, which is normally at your 25-week appointment.

Can the box be used for sleeping?
No, the box the baby pack is in is not intended or suitable for a baby to sleep in.
